RULES & REGULATIONS

The following rules & regulations hereinafter enumerated, govern the stay of any guest for using of the facilities & services of Samsara- The Resort & Club, Corbett. Guests are bound to abide by the ones mentioned.

VACATION EXPERIENCE

Guests are entitled to a relaxed, enjoyable vacation. The Rules and Regulations are designed to ensure a safe, pleasant, and comfortable experience. Guests are requested to Dial 9 or 300, for any assistance, for placing orders, special requests, Safari information, etc.

PARKING

Parking of all vehicles is at owners risk, and at the designated area outside the Resort – at the front entrance’s main gate. No Guest shall be allowed to park inside the Resort.

MOVEMENT OF VEHICLE INSIDE THE RESORT

No vehicle of any guest shall be allowed inside the Resort, with the exception of the following:

a) Dropping of a guest till the designated point, who is a senior citizen, pregnant woman, or has an aggravated heart condition or any serious physical injury impairing mobility.

b) Dropping of heavy luggage/ baggage in case of Check-in & Check-out.

CHECK-IN POLICY

  1. The Check-in time at the Resort is 12:00 PM.
  2. Any Check-in before 12.00 PM will be defined as early Check-in.
  3. Requests for early Check-in can be directed to the front office/sales team, and may be subject to availability and an additional charge.
  4. Guests shall be allowed to occupy room after proper registration at the front desk.
  5. Guests would be allowed to occupy room only after proper verification at the front desk.
  6. Guest would be handed over the key, only after the pending payments have been cleared at the front desk. (NO PAY – NO STAY Policy applies).
  7. Room charge payment to be made at the Resort would be initiated on the credit card at the time of Check-in, and before keys are handed-over to the Guest.
  8. All payments to be settled at the time of Check-out.

CHECK-OUT POLICY

  1. The Check-out time of the Resort is 10:00 AM.
  2. Any check out after this time will be defined as late checkout
  3. Requests for a late check out can be directed to the front office 12 hours before scheduled check out time and will be subject to availability.
  4. Guest staying beyond check out time will be charged for full day succeeding their check out date and time.
  5. Extension of stay is subject to availability of room(s).
  6. All extra bills must be settled either by credit card or cash before departure.
  7. Cheques are not acceptable.

RESERVATION & BOOKING POLICY

An individual who is more than 21 years of age, and has valid photo identification can only make reservation.

PET POLICY

Under no circumstance whatsoever, pets are allowed inside the resort.

TARIFFS POLICY

  1. Guest must ascertain the tariff/room rate at the time of reservation and at the time of signing the visitors’ register at check in.
  2. The room tariff may not be inclusive of any charge(s) for food & beverages or any other services availed by the guest and these will be payable as per consumption, unless specified otherwise.
  3. The resort reserves the right to modify the tariffs for any dates, and weekends.

RESTAURANT TIMINGS

  1. The main restaurant is a time bound service offered by the resort to its guest.
  2. The timings for the meal sessions are as following,
    Breakfast & Morning Tea 08:30 – 10:30 Hrs.
    Breakfast & Morning Tea 08:30 – 10:30 Hrs.
    Dinner 20:30 – 22:30 Hrs.
  3. Order & meals shall be served only in the respective timings & periods.
  4. A la carte and room service orders will take approximately 45 minutes for preparation.

KITCHEN CLOSING

Our kitchens close at 23:00, so as to provide you on-time breakfast & tea next morning, so guests are requested to place any special order for the night by 22:30.

SWIMMING POOL

  1. The operational time of the swimming pool is 07:00-12:00, & 16:00-20:00 hrs.
  2. Diving is not permitted.
  3. Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  4. Jacuzzi pool is not for swimming.
  5. Swimming attire is a must for using the pool.
  6. Swimming pool attire is available for sale at the pool. The charges would be INR 200 for men & children, INR 450 for women.
  7. It is recommended to take a shower before and after using the swimming pool
  8. Persons under the influence of alcohol are not allowed to use the pool. The Swimming Pool in-charge will be authorized to not allow people in an inebriated condition to enter the pool.
  9. Management is not responsible for any valuable or personal property.
  10. Food & Beverages would not be served at the Swimming Pool area.
  11. Guests swim at their own risk and the hotel is not responsible for any injuries while using the hotel facilities.

CLUB RULES

The operational time of the various facilities is indicated at the respective places. Facilities that are complimentary for the in-house guests are Gymnasium, Table Tennis, Swimming Pools. Guests are to comply with the Club Executive who would take note of the guests using the game area.

DRIVER ACCOMMODTION & DRIVER MEALS

All drivers are to eat at the designated Driver’s Canteen. All drivers are to sleep at the designated Driver’s Dormitory, (Subject to availabilities) and any deviation from the same shall be chargeable as per actual rates.

RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED

The Resort property is for the use and enjoyment of its guests and is not open to the public. Management may refuse entry to any person.

MANAGEMENT’S LIEN ON VISITORS’ LUGGAGE & BELONGINGS

In case of default in payment of dues by a guest, the management shall be entitled to a lien on the luggage and belongings and to detain the same and to sell or auction such property at any time after the day of departure, without reference to the party and appropriate the net sale proceeds towards amount due by the guest.

GUEST VALUABLES, CASH, JEWELERS, ETC.

Visitors are particularly, requested to lock the doors of their rooms when going out or when going to bed or when using common showers. The hotel will not in any way whatsoever, be responsible for the loss of guest’s belongings or any other property not entrusted to the management or for damage thereof, whether due to neglect of hotel employees or agents or any other cause whatsoever, including theft or pilferage.

MANAGEMENT’S RIGHTS

The management reserves to itself the absolute right of admission to any person in the hotel premises and to request any guest to vacate his or her room at any moment without any previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In default, the management will be entitled to remove the luggage and belongings of the visitor, from the room occupied by him or her and lock the room.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property, caused by themselves, their friends or any person for whom they are responsible.

ACCIDENTS

Management does not hold itself responsible for any accident, however caused, whether by us or by electrical gadgets, mechanical appliances, etc. or by natural causes, including acts of God, resulting in either loss or damage to themselves and/or their property.

HOTEL KEYS

Hotel keys must be deposited at the reception desk whenever guests leave the hotel premises and at the time of check out. For loss or damage of the Room key, guests will be charged INR 900/- extra.

COOKING

Cooking in the rooms is strictly prohibited.

GAMES, ETC.

Indian Government Rules prohibit playing cards or any other gambling activities in the rooms. The use of private music devices or other musical instruments in a loud volume is restricted.

OTHER RULES

  1. Going beyond hotel boundaries is not recommended. Guest may do so, at his/her own risk.
  2. Consumption of outside food and beverage is not permitted in the hotel premises.
  3. Any activity pertaining to pedophilia or any audio/video material pertaining child pornography is strictly prohibited by law within the hotel premises.

WASHROOM & TOILETERIES

  1. Solar water heaters are used to warm the tap/bath water, and hence it might take at least 5-10 minutes for warm water to flow from the taps.
  2. Bathing buckets and mugs are available on request from the front office.

RELATION BETWEEN HOTEL AND VISITORS

Nothing herein shall constitute or be deemed to constitute any tenancy or sub-tenancy or any right of tenancy or sub-tenancy or any right or interest in the hotel premises or any part, or portion thereof in favour of any guest or resident or visitor and the hotel shall be deemed to be in full and absolute possession and control of the whole hotel premises.

HAZARDOUS GOODS & OTHER GOODS

Storing of hazardous goods, like raw or exposed cinema films, gas cylinders, cooking stoves, inflammable fuels, firearms, etc., in the hotel premises by guest is strictly prohibited. Satellite phones and the use of them are not permitted inside the hotel premises.

GOVERNMENT RULES & REGULATIONS

Guest is requested to observe government rules and regulations in force from time to time, in respect of registration, alcoholic drinks, firearms, satellite phones, etc.

AMENDMENT OF RULES

The management reserves to itself the right to add, to alter and to amend any of the above terms, conditions and rule as may deem fit to management without any prior intimation.

RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Undertaking any jungle safari trips/rides or jeep rides or outside adventure activities during the stay at the resort, either organized by the resort or an outside party, the guests & his dependents must or should acknowledge that there is an element of risk. The guest might also consider acknowledging the risks of injury or illness in remote places without medical facilities; the ever present danger posed by the forces of nature, including wild animals; the risk of accident during travel by aircraft, automobile, truck, bus, watercraft and other means of transportation. Knowing these risks, the guest fully assume all risk of illness, injury or death and release Samsara Resort & Club, Corbett, its agents, associates and suppliers from all actions, claims or demands for damages or expenses resulting from his/her participation in such trips. The guest acknowledges that the obligation stated here is binding upon him/her, his/her heirs, executors and administrators, members of guest’s family and any minors the guest chooses to bring with him/her. The guest also agrees that any medical expenses incurred, will be his/her sole responsibility. The guest acknowledges that this is a liability release and a legally binding contract between the guest and Samsara Resort & Club, and its affiliated organisations, and the guest signs it of his/her own free will.
